Mary O'Neill - Chief Executive Officer
Mary O’Neill is Nakina’s Chief Executive Officer. Under Mary’s leadership, she has guided Nakina’s growth phase and customer expansion. Prior to becoming CEO in 2012, she served as the company’s head of sales and was responsible for Nakina’s market penetration. Mary also serves on Nakina’s board of directors. Prior to joining Nakina, Mary held executive positions at Nortel Networks. Her executive management experience includes leading business units delivering revenues exceeding $200 Million and organizations as large as 300 people. She also launched Nortel’s Preside Network Management portfolio and is a patent holder. Mary holds a degree in Computer Science from Acadia University.
Ron Blair - Chief Financial Officer
Ron Blair has served as Nakina’s Chief Financial Officer since 2012 Ron brings extensive industry and finance experience to Nakina. He has been part of numerous successful ventures, having raised hundreds of millions of dollars in capital and supported several successful exits including the acquisition of Cambrian Systems for over $300 Million. Ron has a Business Degree from Saint Francis Xavier University.
Patrick Rhude - Chief Technology Officer/Vice President Product Management
Patrick Rhude is Nakina’s Chief Technology Officer and head of product management, responsible for guiding all aspects of product evolution. Patrick is an industry veteran overseeing new product introductions and growth. Prior to Nakina, Patrick has held senior leadership positions, and has been involved in numerous successful exits, with Syndesis (acquired by Subex), Atreus Systems, CrossKeys, and Newbridge Networks (acquired by Alcatel-Lucent. Patrick possesses a degree in Electrical Engineering from Queen’s University and an MBA from the University of Ottawa.
Shawn McCormick - Vice President Product Development and Delivery
Shawn McCormick is responsible for Nakina’s product development, verification, and customer support.
Prior to Nakina, Shawn held progressive roles in all aspects of system design, software development, product verification, and solutions engineering functions. At Nortel, he was responsible for managing up to 220 people and budgets up to $50 Million. He has vast experience with acquisitions and partnerships, and has successfully managed multi-site projects including work in India, China, Ireland, and Israel. Shawn started his career developing reliable hardware for military communications supplier Leigh Instruments. Shawn holds a degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Ottawa.
Dean Mechlowitz - Vice President, World Wide Sales
Dean Mechlowitz leads Nakina’s global sales organization.
Dean is responsible for driving the company’s global sales strategy for its portfolio of software products, platforms, services and partner initiatives. He is focused on developing and leading a best-in-class sales organization and increasing the company’s customer base while driving new business. Dean is an industry veteran within the OSS/BSS segment, bringing extensive previous experience from senior positions at ADC Metrica, Granite Systems (acquired by Telcordia), Telcordia (acquired by Ericsson), and AceComm. Dean is a graduate from Lehigh University, and possess a degree in Electrical Engineering.
Rob Marson - Vice President, Global Marketing
Rob Marson oversees all aspects of Nakina’s global marketing efforts. In this role, Rob is responsible for portfolio and strategic marketing, market assessment, launches, and marketing strategies in support of new business development and expansion. Prior to Nakina, he has has been responsible for management, business development, and marketing responsibilities at a number of companies including JDSU, LSI and Nortel. Rob has managed businesses delivering $220M in annual revenues, driven go-to-market plans with global partners, defined market entry strategies including major merger and acquisitions, and led marketing initiatives for some of the organizations’ most significant product launches. Rob has a degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Western Ontario.
